Managing partner of Legrant Law Company Tatiana Titarenko took part in a seminar on legal aspects in port operations and trade - concession policy at the Antwerp Port Training Center (APEC).

During the seminar, Tatiana received new knowledge, in particular, about concession mechanisms on the example of the Belgian ports of Antwerp, Zeebrugge and Ghent, the regulation of railway transport in ports. The head of the company also made a presentation on implementation of PPP in Ukraine, in particular, concession projects in the ports of Olvia and Kherson.

"For Ukraine, which today has an acute need for investment, the issues of public-private partnership are more relevant than ever. For successful implementation of projects, it is necessary to study the experience of developed countries. For example, the port of Ghent, which was a fully state-owned enterprise until 2000, has turned into a modern transport and logistics complex, where private companies handle cargo transshipment, and the city budget develops infrastructure and increases competitiveness of the region at the expense of received funds",Tatiana Titarenko said.
