22 August 2018, the Government announced the launch of a new central executive body, the State Service for Maritime and River Transport of Ukraine (Maritime Administration). And now there is planning to provide administrative services in the seaports of Ukraine through telecommunications networks.

“International practice demonstrates that the model of administrative services through service centers is a waste of resources and time. Our colleagues from the EU have been using electronic platforms for registering ships where registration takes one day (instead of one to three months) for a while” – emphasizes Tatyana Titarenko, managing partner at Legrant Law Firm, in a commentary for "Yuridicheskaya Praktika".
