Legrant protected client’s interests in a dispute on dispatch recovery

Legrant Law Company protected the interests of its' client in the dispute on dispatch recovery.

Legrant's client, foreign trader, concluded a contract of sale of corn on FOB Odessa terms. The cargo was loaded on the vessel way before the contractual laytime has expired. However, customs clearance of the cargo have been delayed due to the actions of supervising authorities and the shipowner. As a result, the dispute between the buyer and the seller on recover of demurrage arised.

The lawyers of Legrant have analyzed the situation and proved that the demurrage had been caused by omissions of the buyer and the shipowner. Eventually, the dispute was settled amicably and Legrant's client recovered dispatch.
